A Week to Go: What to Wear to the Chelsea Flower Show

What to Wear to the Chelsea Flower Show

There's no better way to welcome the summer social season than a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show. Held annually since 1913 by the Royal Horticultural Society, it remains a true highlight of the British social calendar and one of our favourite events for #WalkingInPC. Known for its world-class garden designs, it's the perfect occasion to showcase your most-loved occasion wear.

While the dress code leans smart casual, garden party elegance is essential. Let the vibrant surroundings inspire your style, think floral prints and delicate embroidery that echoes the beauty of the blooms.

Footwear comes first. The show involves plenty of walking through gardens and across grassy paths, so comfort is key. We recommend leaving the heels at home and choosing something equally stylish but more practical. Our espadrilles, Mary Janes, sandals and wedges offer the perfect balance between fashion and function.

A structured bag or timeless clutch are perfect ways to complete your look. We'll be taking our Puffball Clutch, a lightweight piece with enough room for your sunglasses, suncream, and a compact umbrella. After all, British weather is anything but predictable.

With under a week to go, we've been looking back at some of our favourite #WalkingInPC moments from last year's show and can't wait to see how you style your Penelope Chilvers pieces this year.
