1 December – India Hicks Trunk Show

Penelope and the fabulous India Hicks, a friend of the brand who we have now worked on three capsule collections with, hosted a trunk show for their newest AW23 Collection.

Holly Parmelee, India’s life-long friend, generously held the event for 25 guests at her house located in the sweet little town of New Canaan. With the help of Alicia Fox and Cat Oneal, they decorated her home with traditional British decorations and snacks, including mini shepherd’s pies and Union Jack cookies. Farmer’s Table Food also provided the most delicious spread for guests to indulge in.

Both Penelope and India Hicks gave speeches about their business, the new collection, and where they draw their inspiration from. From here, guests had the opportunity to purchase the two women’s boots part of the collection co-designed by the pair.

The first, The Grove Cowboy Boot, is a quintessential cowboy boot made at its most elegant, with a feather design that is inspired by India’s father’s English garden where she grew up. The second, Riding Tassel Boot, a reworked design of the Penelope Chilvers Long Tassel Boot from the heritage collection, a luxurious yet practical boot.

After a long but successful day, Penelope, Gemma, and Natalia treated themselves to a well-deserved wine and Mexican dinner at a cosy pub in town, then got an early night’s sleep in preparation for the drive to their next stop… New York!
