Heritage Care

Our collections are founded on long-lasting, slow fashion, meaning all our pieces are built to last, and our artisans work with natural materials which age and wear beautifully. For a sneak peek into how Penelope cares for her boots take a look at our video below:

Please note, our heritage collection includes a number of different natural materials, so for specific care details on each one, please use our handy guides below. For well worn boots we recommend cleaning every 2 months, and every 4 months for your lesser worn pieces.

Leather

Vegetable Dyed Leather & Leather

Our love of Vegetable dyed leather began right back at the beginning when we first started making boots. We continue to use it to this day as it comes in such beautiful deep natural tones and we know it doesn’t damage the world it comes from. It also improves over time, gaining more richness, to ensure you get the most from your pieces apply some Leather Feed with a soft dry cloth and buff up as much as you want with the Beech Buffing Brush, this will combat any dullness and give your boots back their shine.

Embossed Leather And Suede

We choose to incorporate these leathers in our collection as they give an element of fantasy and colour. The different textures that we work with really bring our styles to life and make them truly special. These leathers need very little care once they have been protected with a leather protector - Suede & Leather Protector Spray. Simply brush off any dry surface dirt with our Beech Mud/Suede Brush .

Gaucho & Oiled Suede & Leathers

This is our antiqued, aged leather, specifically selected for its worn, familiar feel. We love its tough resilience and attitude. This leather has an oiled finish and marks or small imperfections are natural characteristics. These leathers can be oiled with Leather Cream  to give a rich and supple finish or leave to dry naturally for a more parched patina. Simply brush off any dry surface dirt with our Beech Mud/Suede Brush

Suede

We select the tougher grades of suede for our boots and bags as our styles are designed to be purposeful as well as beautiful. These skins are from Spain so the whole product has a truly Spanish heritage. They need very little care once they have been protected with a suede protector - Suede & Leather Protector Spray.  Simply brush off any dry surface dirt with our Beech Mud/Suede Brush and regularly brush the nap of the suede to keep it looking sleek.
