We’re so excited to showcase our collaboration with the inimitable stylist and high priestess of vintage, Bay Garnett. This capsule collection is a nostalgic trip down the King’s Road, back to when it was a catwalk for style tribes and filled with the colourful friction of Punks and Sloane, who brought Chelsea’s pavements to life. The pieces are an ode to the joy, freedom and adventures that those decades were all about, blended together with Bay’s incredible sense of style, and our signature PC touches and love of timeless craft. Like the thrift store finds it was inspired by, there is a piece of treasure for everyone inside…
Please note, the pieces in this collection are all designed as limited editions and in smaller batches so they won’t hang around for long.
How the collection came about:
It was last year that the message popped up "Penny, I’m just writing to you about an idea that struck me a week or so ago in a charity shop(funnily enough!), longingly looking at a pair of great 70’s suede boots that were far too small. And I thought what a great idea it would be to create a collection of shoes and boots based on ones from thrifting/charity shops and do it in a super sustainable way. And as it struck me I thought of you, as you make such great shoes and boots and really know what makes something classic and stylish as opposed to a fad or trend.” - Bay Garnett
And so with this message The King’s Road Collection was born…
Each handcrafted piece nods to Chelsea in the 70’s, mixing punk & sloane influences, alongside our signature PC style.
Biker Slide:
This slide pays homage to the biker boots of the 70’s and 80’s that used to pepper the Kinds Road. Handcrafted in soft black leather, and lined with a cosy shearling interior for ultimate comfort.
The Soft Rock Cowboy:
A tribute to Biba and all things studded, these boots feature a longer calf length and comfortable cuban heel, for that on trend vintage aesthetic, alongside our signature PC cowboy embroidered stitch.
Biker Boot:
The biker boot is back! Launched in homage to the punky style boots that used to stroll along Chelsea’s pavements. These boots are designed with an elongated shaft and chunky rubber sole for that authentic biker aesthetic.
The Rock and Roll shoe:
Inspired by a bag that Bay and Anita Pallberg found whilst vintage shopping, this pump offers an edgier take on the ever popular Mary Jane style and features a metallic pink lining and stud detailing.
