Liz Bauwens, Interior Stylist & Owner of Otto Trading, an interior and lifestyle store in Acton

What does Penelope Chilvers mean to you and what is your connection with the brand?  I love the brand - stylish, understated, cool and comfortable.

Why did you choose your style of boot? I love the colour - it feels like an injection of spring, and I love the pony skin.

How would you describe your daughter’s style? Lois' style is cool, slightly unpredictable, eclectic. She still surprises me with some of her choices, but she always looks great.

How does creativity play a role in your family? We are all pretty creative. My husband Simon and my son are photographers and Lois was lucky - she was amazing at art and writing at school - and has managed to combine both in her job.

What good things have been passed down from generation to generation? My mother was a painter and her mother too. My father loved a party, so a bit of rubbing off all round!

Penelope Chilvers makes shoes for travel and adventure. How will you wear yours? I’ll wear mine every day to make sure I have lots of adventures!

What exciting projects are you currently working on? I've recently opened my shop and it’s keeping me busy making sure it is filled with beautiful things.

Lois Brown, Anteater Communications, a boutique restaurant and bar PR agency

What does Penelope Chilvers mean to you and what is your connection with the brand?  I’ve loved Penelope Chilvers for a very long time. I think it’s the incredible textures and materials she uses that make the designs so insanely unique and such exceptional quality – they really do last a lifetime.

Why did you choose your style of boot? What is it about this style that you like?  I love the Chelsea boot style and the way you can dress it up or down. These boots caught my eye as I love a bit of gold and the detail along the heel with white stitching is beautiful.

What do you two have in common?  Honestly - everything! She’s just a kinder nicer version of me with a LOT more patience for seeing projects through to the end and an enthusiasm for sports I can only dream of having.

Penelope Chilvers makes shoes for travel and adventure. How will you wear yours?  I’ll be hitting the pavements of London in them, at all hours of the day and across all areas (I spend a lot of my life on the tube).
