Caring for your leather

Gaucho Leather

This is our antiqued, aged leather, specifically selected for its worn, familiar feel. We love it’s tough resilience and attitude. This leather has an oiled finish and marks, creating small imperfections which are part of it’s natural charm.

These leathers can be nourished with Leather Cream to give a rich and supple finish, or leave to dry naturally for a more parched patina. Simply brush off any dry surface dirt with our Beech Mud Brush.

Care- We advise you to keep this product away from heat and damp and, when not in use, store it in the cotton dust bag provided.

Embossed Leather

We choose to incorporate these leathers in our collection as they give an element of fantasy and colour. The different textures that we work with really bring our styles to life and make them truly special.

These leathers need very little care once they have been sprayed with a Protector, which will help shelter from the elements by repelling water, mud and oil. Softly wipe away dirt and dust with a dry Application Cloth or Beech Mud Brush for more stubborn mud.

Veg Dyed Leather

Vegetable dyed leather comes in such beautiful deep natural tones, and is made all the more beautiful as it is not harming the environment through pollutants during the tanning process. Each skin is oiled by hand to give it a supple and rich appearance that only improves as it is used.

We often use vegetable dyed leathers for trims and detailing on our boot styles. Softly wipe away dirt and dust with a dry Application Cloth or Beech Mud Brush for more stubborn mud. If the leather becomes dull, simply apply some Leather Feed with a soft dry cloth and buff up as much as you want with the Beech Buffing Brush. For a more nourishing and protecting treatment, use our Leather Cream to revitalise the colour of your leather.

Pony

‘Pony’ is a term used to describe a leather product made from cow hide, which has been treated to feature the natural fur of the animal. We have been working with pony for many years as it is so versatile and can be used on footwear and accessories and gives a real 'fur-like' look that our customers love. Dyed in a multitude of colours and prints, it also looks really special when it is used alongside smoother cowhides as it gives great contrast.

Protect by spraying with a Protector, which will help shelter from the elements by repelling water, mud and oil. Softly wipe away dirt and dust with a dry Application Cloth or Beech Mud Brush for more stubborn mud, and keep well groomed by brushing in the natural direction of the hair.

Patent Leather

Patent leather is a smooth cowhide that has been specially treated and coated to create its distinctive high‑shine finish. We use patent leather across footwear and accessories to bring a polished, modern feel, while still retaining the durability and structure of traditional leather beneath the surface.

Gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry Application Cloth to remove dust and marks. For light scuffs, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by drying with a clean cloth to restore the shine. Avoid excessive moisture, abrasion, or prolonged exposure to heat, and store away from direct sunlight to help prevent cracking or discolouration.

Suede

Our collections are founded on long-lasting, slow fashion. We select the tougher grades of suede for our boots and bags as our styles are designed to be purposeful as well as beautiful.
