Penelope Chilvers is thrilled to announce her second collaboration with India Hicks, designer, entrepreneur, Patron of the Prince’s Trust, and mother of five. After a successful autumn capsule last year designed for ‘tomboys and adventurers’, it felt only natural for the two to explore their design partnership further with this follow-up collection: ‘Pink Sands.’ Inspired by India’s life in the Bahamas, it is a whimsical collection that transports one to sunny climes with its dreamy feminine pastel sandy hues. A collection dedicated to raising money for  The Prince’s Trust initiative ‘Women Supporting Women’, India and Penelope have produced a capsule of 3 Spring styles: The Devil’s Backbone Cowboy boot in powder pink, The Castaway Heeled Ankle boot in sand suede and the Shifting Sands ballet pump in butter soft leather.
 
 
As India says about her Bahamian life and the tranquility that inspires Pink Sands: "For me, my time of silence comes as dawn breaks or evening descends on the three miles of pink sand at the bottom of our jungle path. Alone with my dogs and my thoughts, I run from one end to the other, catching my breath after the whirlwind of another day, watching the waves come in one by one, before setting off again for the unknown – no beginning, no end.” India Hicks.
 
As a Patron of the Prince’s Trust India is a key Ambassador for ‘Women Supporting Women.’ A passionate group committed to providing the right help to nurture, inspire and empower young women to build their own futures through employment, education, training or by starting their own businesses. In support of this Penelope and India are delighted to pledge £5 from all full-priced sales of this capsule collection to The Prince’s Trust ‘Women Supporting Women.’ From a design perspective, the 3 Spring styles are sophisticated, feminine and can be worn with confidence. The cowboy boot for the adventure of every day, the heeled ankle boot for the bar stool and the timeless ballet pump will all be as wearable in the city as in the country. Beautifully crafted in Spain from the softest leathers and made to last, this collection is whimsical in its inspiration yet determined in its mantra of ‘go anywhere, do anything.’
